When air freight is the right choice
Air freight is for three situations: when the deadline leaves no choice, when the cargo is too valuable for a long overland journey, and when there simply is no land route to the destination.
Lead times
Delivery in 1–3 days. For comparison, a truck takes 8–14 days and rail 12–18. When a stopped production line or a missed contractual deadline costs more than the freight, the arithmetic becomes obvious.
Price and when it pays off
Indicative pricing starts from €1 per kilogram, and we accept shipments from 0.05 m³. Air freight is charged by weight, which makes it competitive for compact, high-value cargo: spare parts, electronics, samples, pharmaceuticals.
Not everything may travel by air
Air transport is subject to stricter rules than road — some goods are restricted or prohibited for safety reasons. We therefore check whether the cargo is permitted for air carriage before the shipment, and only then propose a route.
When air bypasses restrictions
If EU prohibitions on transit via Belarus or Russia apply to your goods, the northern overland route is closed. Air freight, together with the southern route through Türkiye, remains a lawful alternative. Check the code in our HS code check.
